I looked around the forum in the obvious places but couldn't find a thread so I thought I'd post it here. I thought it was a fascinating interview; at first I was a bit puzzled as to how Cheryl Cole deserved a "life story" interview, but rapidly realised they had a lot to talk about in so little time. The entire Girls Aloud period was glossed over very quickly, and I thought it was very telling that all of the girls bar Nadine appeared in the interview to discuss Cheryl. It's clear that Nadine wants nothing to do with Girls Aloud and is determined to make a solo career happen for herself; which I think is ridiculous, she needs that band as much that band needs her.

What did you all think of Cheryl after watching the show? Did it reinforce your like/dislike of her, or change your perception of her?

Ive always liked Cheryl, I just find it very off-putting when somebody gets overrated and although I dont dislike that person because of it, I go very meh on them and that.

I still think shes a poor judge on TXF, but its coming quite clear shes a very good mentor so I give Cheryl her dues.

She seems a lovely girl, very attractive (if a bit skinny) and up for a laugh and some 'normality' in her live, the interview was quite touching and made me feel quite sorry for her.

Nope just reinforced my opinion of Katie Price sorry I mean Cheryl Cole. Maybe if it hadn't been so nicely timed with her new album and drop in popularity I may have thought differently. Attention seeking manipulation who's probably cried very few real tears in her life

I thought she came across really well. Of course she was gonna cry at points talking about her marriage betrayal and having a serious illness.

It was fascinating and she has obviously matured a lot.

Actually I didnt watch it I was commenting on the fact she did the interview and the timing of it with her album release not the content of the interview. Thats the manipulation I was referring to. As for the tears, well I couldn't turn on my homepage this morning without having them in my face as I can't these days without having to watch her every time she farts

Forwarded through it today. Just can't warm to her. She seems so cold. So up herself, believing her own importance in the way she carries herself and talks. Wonder why pierce didn't bring up the toilet incident. Simon's orders to keep her nations sweetheart? I still don't believe that Malaria malaki. I can't wait until someone with real talent and worth becomes the nations sweetheart.

She doesn't look British. Does she have some Greek?

Well, if it aint true Cheryl needs to get herself back over to Hollywood pronto because an Oscar beckons. I seriously doubt Cheryl could have "acted" her way through the interview. It was more than just making her eyes water.

Yes she leads a very good life, but that does not mean she cannot get hurt and go through upsetting things that 'normal' people can go through.

Nobody is happy going through a divorce when they believed they were in a good relationship, why should Cheryl be an exception? You'd feel sorry if it was your favourite celebrity. Malaria could have killed her, if she was like 'Oh well Im still alive now lolol xo' people would think what a stupid, stuck-up b!tch. Seems she cant win *sigh*

Well it all goes back to the coldness I feel from her. All those are things that would make someone upset but from her I just sense PR. It will always be a mystery how she got malaria just in time to avoid being with competition Nicole but got healed just in time for judges house. Her weight hadn't changed much, nothing indicated she had just been ill. I would've guessed coming back from a potentially fatal disease would change your appearance somewhat.

She does appear cold at times I think. And everything seems to be for publicity.
