Raph made a thread about this a few months ago, Arista has like 6 desktop computers, he keeps one tab on "Who's online" and never exits it.

I agree it's weird though.

I have another page with who's Online.

Some members are Fun
thats what I look for

so its not a problem.

We used to have who's Online on the front page
lower part - thats best.

Arista does enjoy life, he buys bargain food and has many computers and he works.

Arista, why even bother responding to such rude and intrusive questions about your forum use? It's nobody else's business to tell you how many hours you should be online, or to comment on your lifestyle in any way.

Ha.. funny you mention - I've noticed this for weeks too!!!

When I open up tibbs, I usually have a look to see who is online as there are posters whose posts I enjoy reading and will often add to the same thread due to shared interests, sometimes it's a quicker way than reading through all the latest thread titles (quicker way of seperating what interests me as a lot of what's posted, doesn't hold that much interest for me).

I did wonder the same thing about Arista - but put it down to perhaps that being the last page they had checked and hadn't closed down their browser, whilst they were away doing something else.

Sorry Arista, but I voted for it being a weird thing to do - stalking and keeping track of people online for such lengths of time...surely isn't healthy!

I have a page of 'who's online' all the time
and then a page I post on.

Nothing creepy at all.
It not tracking them it is joining what is hot.

Its a Tool of this site
it was best when it was onj the Main page.

You misunderstand - I don't think it's creepy - I think that tracking it for such a lengthy time period and daily is weird - that's not quite the same thing as creepy. slightly stalkerish and not altogether healthy IMHO - hey it's your life and all that - you could have very good reason for doing it and that's your entitlement!
