Most soaps have always had the odd brand pop up but never brands/businesses mentioned. Was Corrie tonight mentioning both Mothercare and B&Q Product Placement or does mentioning places not count? I just found it so weird two were mentioned

Saw Yorkshire Tea in Leyla's shop on Emmerdale last week.Very appropriate.

I've seen loads in shops but it was before the product placement thingy. I wasn't sure if mentioning names amounted to the same thing Today both Mothercare and B&Q got a namedrop. Stuck out like a sore thumb

Product placement is where a company have specifically paid for their product to be seen on screen & if this has happened a "P" appears on the opening credits & after advert breaks... As far as I'm aware there has been none in any soap as yet.
