Default A gay HM

I know it's a bit too late to bring in a new HM, but do you think Tom has been mal treated due to lack of possible 'storylines'. Not a fan of show-mances but they do appeal to a lot of people and are heavily pushed in edits. There is blatently zero chemistry between Lou and Jay and they were pushed to the front for ages.

I know Tom's bi but personally think he's more likely to have got it on with a guy than a girl. He wasn't adverse to a show-mance and fancied *and still does* Aaron. OK a gay man is no guarantee of romance but it does feel like Faye has got a showmance and sister thread going, Tom's got nadda.

I am just wondering why they ALWAYS put a stereotypical camp, bitchy gay in the house. Not all gay men are like that. In my mis-spent youth I was in the Merchant Navy for 3 years and worked with many a gay guy who was more macho and manly than many blokes I've known since.

We've had Craig, Richard, Mario, Dennis, Kemal, Tom - all of a type. If I were a gay man I would find that sort of stereotyping quite offensive and insulting.

I wondered why they put a stereotype gay man, then i realised if Jay had been the same but gay, then girls like Louise would have no storyline. Why have a macho bloke who is gay when women won't fancy him and he obviously wont fancy women.

I thought Jay was gay when he first went in, I think your reading a bit too much in the sexuality thing but could be wrong

Decent HMs don't need to rely on a showmance to get airtime - that goes of gay ones and straight ones. If Aaron didn't have the Faye story, he'd still be worth watching, if slightly less of a big focus.

That's the thing with Aaron he's got various strings to his bow not just Faye and even Harry noted this in his 'game-play' chat with Aaron a couple of nights ago!
