Extremely odd, I reckon its probably down to the fact its not been long since CBB8 & BB12 but I really enjoyed both series so it doesn't make sense. I thought maybe when the news crept in - celeb names and now house pictures - but nope nothing.

I'm sure, well I do hope so, that when Thursday night comes Ill be gearing for it but its the first time Ive not felt any pre-series hype about it :S

Anybody else in the same boat?

C5 have made an absolute pigs ear of it so why would anybody sane be excited to see more?
live feed 24/7 is the only thing that makes it worth watching without it nobody really cares.
shove your hours live feed up your rump C5.

Without proper livefeed i doubt i will put in the effort to watch it i am more likely to torrent it all and have a bb night every 3-4 nights and just catch up.
torrents are better than faily C5 and their pathetic attempts at BB.

Everyone always talks about C5's "pathetic attempts" at doing the show but, apart from the live feed issue, I think they've done a great job. I enjoyed CBB8/BB12 a LOT more than I enjoyed some of C4's later series. I'm excited, i'll be watching the new one!

I don't like TOWIE though? I just really like the new Big Brother. Not as much as I liked the BB3/5/6/7 days, but a lot more than I liked the BB8/10/11 days.

I struggled to sustain interest in BB and haven't really got the enthusiasm back...I'm sure Channel 5 won't fail to disappoint

TBH, the larger majority of the audience didn't give two figs about 24/7 live feed. It's problems are greater than that to lose the high figures. The biggest one being that the format died years ago.

If this new one was the first one since it ended on channel 4 I might be able to muster up some actual interest but it's far too generic now for my liking. The last time I can say I was honestly excited was the run up to Big Brother 7 when my love of the show hit a peak. Then I got a little excitement out of the start of BB11 because the launch actually felt like an event for the first time in ages. Other than that, nothing.

the excitement on here has well and truely gone there was no run up to midnight on here for house pics they kinda just come and everyone was like kool, i think the pre bb hype is dead

The test will be with the summer BB.

There's a couple plausible reasons why the hype isn't around this time, having just come through two shows in a matter of months and then Christmas has just finished.

Im excited but this forum is dead and we are the actual fans so dreading what other people are thinking.

I think ratings will be bad aswell do to the launch finishing at 11!
