I don't think that is the case at all.

BB started well before facebook, and for sure many of the audience (just like many of those on the internet) don't use facebook.

Considering the audience for Big Brother at this point is likely between 15-25, I think it's probable most of its audience do in fact use Facebook. Hence it made such an impact with votes last series.

Much of the BB audience has been older than that, they may have lost some of them last year but they could still be a very sizeable chunk.

Didn't check Facebook because I hate loads of my "friends" but cba to delete them all but I'm sure there were a couple dozen status' talking about the twins' tits and getting about 3000 likes.

I didn't really check Facebook last night, but noticed one status when I did making an oh-so original quip about Natasha entering Big Brother for a change.

My friend made a status about how gorgeous Georgia is and received 77 likes on his status, and then another friend said "Madsen and Thomas... legends" which received 102 likes.

That's quite impressive.
