.... then why did he lie and say Georgia had started having a go at him.

He started on her for no reason and she said several times 'I'm not arguing with you michael'.

Old habits die hard, he has done it a few times to Denise as well. The fact that he walks away at the same time says a lot as well, if you are going to start an argument at least stay and finish it.

My take on it is that it's just his sense of humour and maybe it goes a bit too far but I don't think it's malicious but not many people get it.

Yep, I think thats the difference. With denise you could see what was initially setting him off even if he did totally overreact later. This time georgia wasnt even talking to him, was chatting about getting ready and he just blew.

If I was a conspiracy theorist I would think that big brother had told him that everyone was loving his confrontation side and to keep it up.

But I'm not so I'll just continue to believe he is a nasty little egotist who thinks he is above everyone else in the house and sees nothing wrong in talking about men 'pounding' his hypothetical daughters. Vile.
