I've noticed a lot of people complaining on various forums that BB is boring this year. Some people are blaming the housemates - but others are saying that BB is being to easy on them all. I've heard numerous people comparing this years' house to some sort of holiday camp.

I wonder if the reason for this could be Pete. The tasks they have set so far seem really pretty lame...particuarily those at the start of the run. I wonder if maybe Endemol have had to rethink their whole game this year after the initial bad press about them taking advantage of people with mental health problems. I wonder if they are worried that if any task put the housemates under serious pressure and stress that people like the tourettes society would be up in arms since Pete has stated (I believe more than once) that his tourettes gets worse when he feels stressed.

I'm still a big fan of Pete. My ideal final three would be Pete, Nicki and...controversally...Lisa) Can you imagine entertainment value of the house and the sheer bedlam with just those three in it - I really feel those three are the only ones who could, together, sustain interest through the last week.

Please. If BB is boring this year, it's down to the boring HMs that are in there.

I don't think anyone would argue with the fact that Susie and Dimdimdim are dull as dishwater. Some people (though not me) would call Mikey boring, and I guess Ash could fit the bill too.

Don't blame Pete for that. He's one of the only HMs that actually shows any integrity and honesty in the house, and arguably the most fun.

If you're bored, think about how Susie performs on the show. She refused to eat enough food to pass the smell test, acted like a schoolteacher during the State of Susie, and even when the HMs try to play a game like "s**g, marry, kill" she was so boring that she had to change "kill" to "imprison."

The most exciting thing Susie has done other than ask for cups of tea was to get a glass of water tossed at her.

I dont think its boring - why do people say things are boring when the programme is getting excellent ratings? Its the same with EastEnders, Corrie and so on, when something goes well people try and kick it.
I dont think this year has been exceptional, but there is still loads to run yet, lets save our critisism for when the show finishes.

Personally!
I think the mix of housemates is PERFECT.
The housemates all have different qualities.
And we booted Grace out.
And she for me was right to go.
But should've stayed because the Entertainment value was quite clinically amazing.
The same goes with Sezer.

But BB has got to book it's ideas up.
The producers must have something up there sleeves.
Surely.
And it's ment to be TWISTED, this year.
I've seen 2 twists.
And one of them was fixed.
So, I do think BB producers do scan these forums from time to time.
They must've because thats probably the reason well respected member [Hooly one] didn't get into the house when he was selected last year.
So BB producers. Send a guy in there.
Twist the housemates.
Secret rooms...there has to be one. other than the golden bedroom...surely!

I think it's a farse people calling the housemates boring.
The housemates can only react to what Big Brother throws at them.
And at the moment it's absoloutely nothing.

As for Pete. His personality has got boring. But thats because he can't express without Big Brother giving him chance to.

The diary room last night was an example. He was funny when big brother gave him food to be funny on.

All the housemates need feeding a treat or two. or else this 93 days of big brother will flop more than BB4.

I think pete is a bit of a coward not standing up against Mickey when Grace and Nikki stole Susie's bottle of White Lightning. He just backed down. I would have whacked the scouse banana.

Pete's just a fence sitter, even when he does say something that could cause offence he sort of curls up and backs off as if he's afraid to say it.

Just to clarify, I do think that some of the housemates are dull - which is why BB has to do stuff to them to make them interesting. BB7 is the first BB I have seen since BB3 (I've been out of the country - still am, but now the internet is providing) but I've read about the others....and I think Imogen would be much more interesting if she was crawling through fish guts or locked in the poor side of the house for a week with Richard and with nothing but chickpeas to eat.

All I'm saying is that I don't think they will do those kind of high stress tasks while they are in danger of getting burnt again for agitating Pete's condition

What made last years BB good was that gimp Craig annoying Yoda nose Anthony. That was class! Nothing like that will happen again.

It is a combination of HM's and production that have made this years show so dull.Pete fell down the stairs within 10 secs of being in the house and that remains the shows highlight.

On the back of Chantelle winning cbb the producers have gone for looks and love intrest.I can't explain the ratings ,apart from a theory that the football might actually be working in BB's favour as non footie fans switch to c4,guaranteed not to show football,while the other channels have regular football and mixed up schedules.

Certainly there is no media buzz about bb7 , unlike last year,where you could not pick up a paper or hear a radio/tv show notmentioning it.
