I believe if your dog attacks someone you should be tried as if you committed the crime yourself.

On ITV1 London Local news now
The Dog first attacked the officer's leg
and being half pit bull , half doberman
it would not let go of his leg.

(I wonder if his leg will have to be removed?)

They went to arrest a criminal
but did not think the Dog from Hell
would be there.

That Criminal will now
have the dangerous dog added as another charge.

People always blame the dogs...but its usually how they are brought up

That said, my mum got a lakeland terrior pup when I was about 15. We brought it up right, the same as our other dogs (who we had never ever had a problem with, softest dogs you could ever meet) but it attacked my sister one day for no reason. Ripped her arm open. Turns out it came from a 'working dogs' family and this is likely to be why. So I guess sometimes you cant train the violence out of the dog :/

Does always seem to be pitbulls though...I wonder if this is because (and no offence to anyone who has a pitbull) they seem to be very popular amongst young chavs who probably dont even know how to look after a dog. The reason they are popular among those people is probably because the dogs are typically viewed as dangerous...

this Criminal at that house trained his dog to attack police etc.

..I agree..although I suppose there are 'bad' dogs the same as there are 'bad' people..but on the whole I think it's the owners

My Dog is "good" and been raised properly, but it has attacked someone before.

It was more of an "attempted attack" if that makes sense. Was close though. I genuinely got no idea what was going through it's head at the time. I know they get Jealous easily if you pay attention to someone else for abit,which is why some attacks happen in the home, but this wasn't one of those :s . Thankfully It was outside and on a leash and I was able to control it enough to an extent that it only bit the woman's trouser slightly.
