If there was two 2 year olds trapped in a building that was on fire, one was handicapped and the other isn't but you can only save one of them, which one would you save?
It might sound cruel but I would put the 2 year old handicapped child out of his/her misery and save the other child as they wouldn't be in as much physical pain as the handicapped child.

You have stumped me on this one as to a direct answer Mockinator, well and truly.
I would hope I could save both but I tried to really visualise this scenario and couldn't come to a decision. My heart would lean to saving the handicapped child due to having a handicapped Nephew who is an absolute joy to be with but also to decide to have to leave any child, I just don't know. You really get the brain cells working Mockinator, that's for sure and you have me stumped as I say on this one. |

You've effectively just said that the handicapped don't deserve to live as much as able-bodied people. This has got to be one of the most offensive, or patronising, threads I've seen.

The quality of life might sound bleak to an abled person who has the benefit of a life without handicap but to someone born with a handicap, it's all they know and can be just as happy. Trust you.

I'm closing this, it's offensive.
