Hi friends,
I am bit confused about how thing goes in wrestling, because the audience seems to be having fun while the wrestlers punch each other, is it a serious sport? Or just a fake money making one?

hello,yes it is all scripted and planned but there is a great level of skill involved and is a dagerous sport

most fans know that, it's just a weekly storyline show (soap as smithy said)

I always thought the whole lot was scripted, but speaking to a guy I know who used to be a wrestler (though he was like..a holiday camp wrestler, not wwe or anything) it seems they just get told who wins, and how long the match goes on for...then they get to improvise the rest.

Its still really dangerous though, they have to get the moves right 100% or else they have some very nasty accidents :S

Yeah, they're told what 'spots' to do but the rest they just do there on the day I think
