Watch Dogs pre-orders have reportedly been cancelled in Italy, leading to speculation that the game will not launch on Nintendo's console.

A Gamestop customer in Italy was told to change his Wii U Watch Dogs pre-order because the game had been cancelled by Ubisoft, according to Italian website Wiitalia (via CVG).

A number of fellow Gamestop stores seemingly confirmed the news when contacted by the website.

Ubisoft is yet to make an official statement concerning the rumour.

Originally planned for a 2013 release, Watch Dogs was delayed until 2014 across all platforms.

Ubisoft executive Laurent Detoc recently described it as a "very intense decision", but stressed that the choice was made in the best interests of the game.

Watch Dogs is now scheduled to arrive in the second quarter of 2014 for multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PS3.

I thought also that it didn't look as good as it did before. Although, I just thought I was being silly.

It's surely going to run absolutely awful on the PS3 and 360 judging by the PC specs.

Those few months delay gave them all the time they needed to make the game look terrible.

Hopefully this can still look decent on my PC. When the Steam Christmas sale rolls around.
