Atm it's only 1000 characters, can we increase it, it's annoying when you spend ages typing something then click post and get that stupid message saying that what you've written is too long

...yeah, that happens to me as well and I have to put it in a PM instead because it's too big for a wall post...

As kids, our teachers would hand out 250-word, minimum, assignments for something like fiction with a bit of dialogue and we'd all groan about it. Nowadays, we can type 1000 characters and need another 1000 characters, or even more, to talk with our friends about things that are probably a lot more important and sometimes less fun than fiction. I find that remarkable. But I love it.
