thought I'd make a thread about him since he's been on two hit singles now (Naughty Boy's "La La La" and Disclosure's "Latch") and is starting to release solo stuff. His voice

John Newman releases more catchy Music than Sam Smith imo.

Although Sam Smith has a very good voice which is rare in the Music Industry.

This guy's got a good voice. Definitely reminds me of Daniel Merriweather, Sam Sparro and all these other one hit wonders from a few years ago though...

He's doing really well atm, No.11 with Disclosure, No.1 with Naughty Boy.. and Lay Down With Me is really good, I think it'll go down well with the fans of that sort of genre atm

Nice voice but he strikes me as quite dull. I can see him becoming a just-as-hateful male version of Emeli Sande.

‘In The Lonely Hour’ is out on May 26, which is actually quite a long time away. Presumably there is another single on its way before the album comes out, and presumably it will jettison the edgier feel of ‘Money On My Mind’ and go straight for listeners of Radio 2.

We will have to wait and see.
