Well bbbots was pretty useless tonight, one panellist said that Courtney and Lauren were the 2 saved first when it was Charlotte and Lauren.
Makes you wonder how much of the show they watch really.

Just curious as to why you think you, as an unqualified person, think you are right and they - who we have to assume are professionals in the field (they present themselves as such) - are wrong.

Is it because they are saying unfavourable things about housemates you like and/or favourable things about those you dislike?

No, it's because it's obvious there are a couple of mentally unstable people in there and to not draw attention to it ir make light of it is unprofessional and I have every rigjt to have that opinion, as do you.

You do make a valid point. A person without any qualifications can see that something is wrong. This information has been passed down to us through generations. We should never underestimate the value of instinct.
The housemates have been deemed by psychologists fit to appear on this show. Some of them are obviously not fitted to be in that environment.

I was expecting Dr Funke to be on standby with the necessary paperwork as I feel Lauren is getting more paranoid as the days go on. She hates Courtney talking with Sophie and if she's nominated again will have a meltdown.

I agree. Again they're brown nosing Lauren's family and all gushy when they speak about her but a good psychologist would surely think Lauren is terribly paranoid and insecure and obsessed with courtney?? Not impressed.

Presumably when you go to your GP you argue the toss with him/her as to what your medical problem is and what medication or treatment you should get.... and you rubbish their opinion, if it's not in accordance with your unqualified diagnosis?

That's a bit different to psychology though - which with all due respect to psychologists is never an exact science. At best they can be incredibly helpful and even life changing to bounce ideas off, talk with and get to the root of issues. At worse they get rich off listening half heatedly and dispensing some routine advice at the end of it.

Some of them are compassionate, intelligent people. Some should be out under the tend with the palm readers and jugglers. It is not an exact science and asking someone are they 'qualified' to go up against a TV psychologists opinions is ridiculous.

It's not like you're telling a qualified surgeon how to make an incision. You're simply having an opinion ... on someones opinion about somebody. Whilst coming at it from the perspective of "but he doesn't like my favorite housemate!" is certainly dubious if that is indeed the case - nevertheless let's stop pretending it's some mad ass leap of faith to disagree or have an opinion on Channel 5's crack team of mind probes. They've taken a job with the same producers who allowed Lauren Harries in a TV house. I doubt their sense of professional ethic is particularly arousing.

Source : Seeing psychologists on and off for about seven years growing up. Not that it matters at all but since we're going to act like you need serious credibility to challenge these svengalis ...
