Not shocked at all.

Charlotte is astute. She knows her competition are Abz and Lauren and has done her best to do a hatchet job. Charlotte actually needs to win, being a valient 2nd place won't do. It's all about the winner (Frankie Cocozza barely got a media look in over Denise, Kerry Katona didn't do that much post show media and neither did winner Paddy).
GS is on MTV so she needs the catchet of winning a terrestrial TV show. If she can win she'll make quite a bit of cash. Her management know this and have briefed her well.

The twitterati girls didn't have a 'hot guy' to get behind. Mario came in as the love rat and did things such as flirting with Carol which would have put girls off. So they got behind Charlotte, the kind of girl young drunk girls nowadays can relate to.
