Default New Year plans?

Has anyone got any plans for New Years eve - a big party for anyone here or is it just another normal night in the year.
Im off to a house aprty which I go to every year at my mates house - cant wait!!
Im sure most of you will be attending parties, going out with families and singing Auid Lang Syne!

I, for one, will be extremely glad to see the back of 2002. To put it mildly, it hasn't been the best of years.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank family and friends for their love, kindness and support.

For anyone else who has had an unhappy year, for whatever reason, I hope 2003 will more than make up for it.

2002 hasn't been the most excitng year for me - a lot of school work and working at weekends has made it pretty tiring and boring but I have had a lot of good times with my friends and they are off to university in 2003 in other cities so this will be my last year with them all for a while.
Nothing too drastic or upsetting has happened for me except a few minor things. I hope 2003 will be just as lucky for me in that all my family and friends will be well!!

Heres to 2003

My 2002 has not been the best year of my life and 2003 is going to bring some big changes but I'm going to be positive and go with the flow!

I'll be spending New year's Eve with my sister and her family. We'll probably have a few nibbles and partake of the odd sherry!!!!

Hi,

2002 has been ok for me not the best but ok firstly i think my lowest point was finding out my x-girlfriend has got another boyfriend and the TWO highest points was getting a NEW job in a school and passing my course at college.

HERE's to 2003

I really don't like New Year's Eve much - the only time I really enjoyed it was when we went into London for the millenium celebrations (and then earned £280 for 4 hours' work on New Year's Day).

Highlights of 2002 for me have been:
- finding out I was pregnant
- graduating with a BSc (Hons) in IT and Computing from the Open University
- being at Elstree for the BB3 final

2003 promises much change and many sleepless nights for me, but like Susieq says, I'm going to go with the flow and take each day as it comes.

My darling OH has to be up at 6am New Year morning to go to work so I think I'll be really sad and sit all on my lonesome in front of the tv with a bottle of wine!

I'll be spending it with my dad, brother and sister in law. Hope 2003 will be better relationship wise, the end of this year has been a b****y disaster.

I suspect our church is planning a "progressive meal", what ever that is

I think I have made a tactical error by arranging to arrive back from Yorkshire in time for church. That means I get to hear the details, which if I was not there I would not.

My preference is to always hunker down and hide from the world

For some reason it is always depressing this time of year.

Solution No. 1
Pretend you're not home and don't go to church!

Solution No. 2
Go and have a giggle!

2002 , like other years has had it's share of 'ups' and 'downs' of one sort or another.
My hopes for 2003 are to keep a little more healthy and get to my son's wedding in February [in Prague! his
'young Lady's ' home town.]All the close family have flights and hotel booked and i couldn't bear not to be there with Mr. Boris and co !Fingers crossed.....
As for New Year, Mr. Boris and I are a couple of Romantics at heart and after all the celebrations and family excitement of Christmas , we prefer to stay at home by ourselves and usually go to bed before the Old Year has been rung out or the New Year rung in ! We must be getting VERY old !

I'm not sure what I'm doing on New Year's Eve yet, but I agree with many of you that 2002 has been awful and I will be very glad to see the back of it.

I know so many people who have had a rotten year this year and can't really think of anyone (with the possible exception of Will Young and Darius ) who would say it was good.

Roll on 2003 and let's hope this time next year we are all commenting on here about what a brilliant year it has been.

Default My New Year

Hi to all and hopw you had a good christmas!!
My new year will be spent entertaining my family/signif other's family - cooking etc. Don't mind that for one night a year!!
Bye the way Sticks - you surprised me tonight. I never had you down as a religious type (no offence intended)...

At church there was no mention of a progressive meal, so it looks like it was just a floated idea.

Unless they have a change of mind and start phoning up, it looks like I can have a quiet night in, unless a certain person from Scotland shows up

Apparently Im gonna start drinking at about 3pm tommorow!

Ive tried to explain to my mates that this will probably mean we'll have a hangover by the time we go clubbin, but they wont listen!

The only good thing about 2002 for me was going on holiday with my mates but other than that it hasnt been that good really, 3 of my best mates have gone to uni while Im still stuck here til next year!

Im hoping 2003 will get off to a good start for me by getting an offer from the uni I want to go to, so fingers crossed!
