to be on the safe side I do 12 days b4 12 days after but I normally take them down asap like new years day. xmas gets on my nerves tbh if I didn't have any dogs id b away somewhere hot. or maybe I cud pee off to a bothy with the dogs lol

..the last few years I've put it up quite late and after my Christmas break starts but this year I'm going to do it around the middle of December before my OH's birthday, which is what we always did when the boys were small...I always take it down around the day after Boxing Day though and hate the thought of going into the New Year with the 'old Christmas'....

There are areas around where I live where people not only have their in house decorations up already, but have the outside of their houses lit up with lights and santas on their chimneys and stuff. Idiots.
