Ive actually got to say I haven't enjoyed many films ths year - it hasnt been the greatest year for blockbusters, expcept for Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.
I have been quite happy to watch re-runs of my fave film ever - Dirty Dancing, I just cant get bored of that film!
Saying that, Minority Report was quite a good watch but also a one watch film, I couldnt watch it iver and over!

I loved Lord of the Rings (haven't seen the second one yet)

I agree Minority Report is brilliant, but so was another Tom Cruise film, Vanilla Sky.

Was Beautiful Mind 2002 or 2001 cos that was excellent as well.

Die Another Day was brilliant, but then I am a huge Bond fan

I'm trying to think what else was out this year - I haven't seen Spiderman yet, or the second Harry Potter film.

Having just seen Lord of The Rings : The Two Towers today I'd really recommend it. It's nearly 3 hours long and not a minute of screen time is wasted.

It's awesome in it's scope, the battle scenes are unbelievable, the photography is out of this world and, yes, there's even touches of humour in it.

It's a much more 'rounded' film than The Fellowship of the Ring (which I was also completely gobsmacked by!) and it lets you see more of the character of the main protagonists.

If you loved the first film, this second one will completely blow you away.

BTW - did I say I really liked it?????

Oncde or twice yes, I only saw it last night aswell, it's a fantastic film, quite a few good battles between things during the film.

I have seen LOTR:

several times

sadly, I have still to persuade OH to take me to

Lord of the Rings, IMHO, the most impressive screen adaptation of a mammoth epic, ever.........so far!

I'm ashamed to say I haven't been to the cinema once during 2002, so my knowledge of recent films is VERY poor. I think the last film I watched on the big screen was 'Braveheart!!!'

However, I have seen the new James Bond film 'Die Another Day' (courtesy of a bootleg DVD ) and agree with LEE that it was fantastic.

'Shreck' was also very, very funny. And I watched a bit of 'Spiderman' thanks to my great-nephew, and have to say the special effects were quite impressive.

I hate Tom Cruise, but thought Minority Report was brilliant - so it must be a good film to get over having him in it.

Also loved Lord of the Rings = the quickest three hours I have ever spent. Absolutely brilliant.

Not much else that got the juices going, hope for better this year.
