I can't imagine he'd quit X Factor for Daybreak.

But he does need to go. They binned Thornton after 3 series to "freshen" the show up, that's well overdue with him now.

But he could easily do both. X Factor is only on once a year.

The article ends saying Lorraine and Aled are returning. I like Dermot and I love his dancing. Daybreak would be a big step up for him though.

Morning TV is where presenters go to die. Dermot would be wise to hang onto the X Factor while it's still a viable TV program.
