Default Poor Rylan

He looks like a rabbit caught in headlights. He is sooooooo far out of his depth it looks uncomfortable. Didn't anyone think to give him a bit of coaching since his last debacle. He has even taken to borrowing shirts from harry Hill, poor lad.

Urgh. He's doing fine. Nothing wrong with him, he's getting the crowd involved, isn't messing up his words.

I agree, I found the hour for bbbots just shot by and that is a sign of a good, fast flowing programme with a good presenter.

I think he has improved massively from the last series already.

Is he still laughing hysterically at all of his own (unfunny) jokes?

I switched it off. The same old faces in the audience and Charlotte and Mario on the "panel" Excruciating to watch.

I think he's doing alright, his autocue reading has improved (eye movement is barely noticeable which is impressive) and his ad libbing skills are kinda there (when he's being himself he's at his best), the problem he has is reacting to the panelists and audiences comments, the responses are usually 'you never know', 'time will tell, time will tell' or something along those lines and he even stood in silence and shrugged his shoulders earlier which was somewhat awkward. He needs to question their responses like Emma does and push them a bit more and he'll be there in all honesty. I actually reckon having AJ at his side helped not only her but him too because they bounced off each other and there wasn't any dead air, especially with her gob too

But for someone that only really began presenting eight months ago, he's doing pretty well.

So why not give us a professional to start with - why do we have to put up with some cheap, second-rate ex-hm who needs to grow into the role. I didn't see last night and have no intention of watching if that idiot is the best they can do. Cheap, cheap, cheap!

We got Iain Lee, Rylan and Carol McGiffin tonight on Bit on the Psych. Worth a watch.

That much definitely isn't true.

A presenter with eight months experience isn't better than one with eleven years. That doesn't happen.

We do have one - Emma (there would be a serious problem if Rylan got this full time but we've not reached that stage yet), but all presenters have to start somewhere or else there'd be no new ones (in fact, spin-off shows like these are where quite a few presenters have honed their skills, Dermot being one of them) and the thing about Rylan is that he has the personality to take on a presenting role like this, he's mastered the autocue, can ad lib well, it's just he struggles with the rapport with the panelists and audience members. Unlike Emma who'll question them and converse, he resorts to cliche phrases like 'you never know' or 'time will tell', or as I said last night simply remaining silent which was somewhat awkward.

As the shows anchor he is fine but he struggles when it comes to the conversing or interviewing segments, and I do think having AJ to bounce off helped not only her but him too. That's no dig at him either because it'll just be lack of experience and nerves, it's something that he'll learn and pick up over time. Everything else is there it's just that that he needs to iron out.

He's a much more natural presenter than Brian and he had much more experience than Rylan. After eight months in the industry he's doing pretty well, people need to give him a break.

Even though i don't like Rylan i'd say this^ sums his presenting up well.
