Similar ages will be good, late 20s to mid 30s should be about right.

There always is a age group separation in the house when there are late teens/early20 somethings with late 30s/older HM's on the other side of the divide....and always the public wrongly favours the younger HM's.

That's why there should be housemates across a spectrum. 20s/30s/40s/maybe 50s.

But all the HM's, no matter what age group they are in, should have others in their age group to talk to, too many times in the past there has been an overload of teeny and early 20 something HM's and only a token 30 something or above HM, and they just end up being nominated all the time and isolated.

Yes, a couple of housemates in their early 20s, late 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s.

I'm not saying one from each. You can do that with 14-16 housemates.
