Given that Viacom have bought Channel 5, do you feel there will be an imminent statement as to whether they will retain the rights to Big Brother.

I hope they do as I feel that they have reinvented the series and have given it a new lease of life, something which was not evident on Channel 4.

According to Broadcast when the deal was signed, they're looking into renewing it.

I hope so. I think the show is reaching a peak again after a strong celebrity big brother this January.

I would hate for ITV2 to get it. They would ruin the show.

Unless they're attempting to completely overhaul channel 5 and try new things I think BB is safe on the channel as it's the most profitable/popular show for them.

2 million or whatever might be quite a crap rating, but regularly for channel 5 it's great.
