Our poll indicates shes not very liked and is the second most disliked in the house so I fail to see how you can be really surprised by somebody's non-existant popularity?

A few members will like her for the drama, but overall she be hated.

I find it suspect if the same person likes Helen but doesn't like Toya or Pauline. She basically many of the things that the other two are accused of. In terms of like brashness it goes Pauline, Helen, Toya. Yet Toya gets way more hate...

I find all three entertaining. I think Pauline and Helen are truly bad people though. The way Helen came at Jale for the lipgloss, yikes.

Helen though she is horrible and nasty and I hate the way she has playground names for people, the slug, the wasp, has one saving grace in that she can apologise, she apologised to Danielle and didn't try to twist it to be all Danielle's fault, also Helen is acutely aware that she is a nasty person, compare that to Pauline who thinks an apology is to say you brought it on yourself with your behaviour I think Pauline actually believes her own BS as well. Toya has also shown signs of a softer side by apologising to Jale over ignoring her in the morning, though she needs Paulines approval a little too much for my liking.

Anyway I like Helen because she can argue on people without constantly breaking down into tears, she's had the most iconic moments so far like calling Jale "Slugsworth” and attacking everything about Danielle.

Helen is the star of the series and anyone wanting her out is just wanting this series to go like BB8 once Charley left.

Being a complete vile human being is not entertaining in the slightest.

I hated Charley but even I wouldn't put her in the same group as Helen.

Charley was a gullible, egotistic little girl with temper tantrums compared to Helen, a fully grown manipulative woman.

I'm not finding Helen entertaining and I certainly won't miss her. Just like I never missed Sallie dominating the show last year.

I don't find disgusting behaviour or people like Helen entertaining and I never have done. The house would no doubt get a sense of humour and lighten up without Pauline or Helen dragging the mood down.

Where do you get this from?

It's much more likely (and proven in previous series) that if you take the overbearing/dominating personality out of the house that everybody else relaxes more, opens up and new dynamics form.

Just like Sallie being evicted after being the star of the highlights for a week allowed us to see more of everyone else.

If a HM's going to be an awful person they have to be awful towards people who can defend themselves or people who are equally awful for me to root for them. Watching somebody be horrible to people who haven't really done anything just makes me uncomfortable. I'm usually all for the "EVICT THE BORES! KEEP THE ENTERTAINERS!!!1!" campaigns, but uncomfortable viewing =/= good viewing.

Usually I prefer a cutesy nasty to a genuinely rude person too. Gina/Dexter compared to Connor/Pauline for example.

However, we also see that she can sometimes (rarely?) be caring and genuine, or plotting hate acts against people who offend her sense of self worth which is unfortunatly very low.

It is the hate plotting that puts us off Helen because her reason for disliking a person is so superficial and unnecessary.
