..Danielle thinks that it's ok for guys to cheat etc because it's just in their 'make-up' and also if their partner was 100%, then they wouldn't want to so it would basically be the partner's fault for not being 'up to scratch' if they did cheat...and Marlon objectifies females and doesn't show them a lot of respect in the way he talks about them, or at least the ones in the house...who do you think is the bigger misogynist..?...

Did Danielle really say it was ok for guys to cheat? Thought she just said that it was acceptable that they can sleep around but not for women?

Theyre definitely in different places on this spectrum so its not so easy to compare. I think Danielle's beliefs are more rooted in her though compared to Marlon, whom doesnt verbalise them as much. That said I would be more offended by such comments Marlon would make compared to those Danielle would make, the latter in which I would react by stating she has outdated views because of her religion.

Danielle's views are worse and she is using religion as an excuse when we all know she's nowhere near as holy as she would have us believe.

I think Marlon is worse because it's how he actually treats women but Danni it's her views and although I think it's awful that she thinks like that but she isn't really affecting anyone else but herself.

We don't know how he treats women though,he was doing what some guys do,think they are being funny and clever in front of other blokes by commenting as he did,on a one to one he's probably very sweet,we don't know,I just think his talk is bloke bravado,it goes on a lot.

All of my friends are guys, and very few of them talk that crude or are that disrespectful. It doesn't justify his behaviour 'other guys talk like it - so it's okay', those are Danielle's views, they shouldn't be the forums as well

All I'm saying MM&I,some guys talk like that,I didn't say it was right,but they do,walk past any building site etc,and you can hear how some men see women,its just a fact,but most of these men are probably really nice in their own relationships.

...hmmm, I'm not really sure that I understand that analogy..even if it was 'accepted' as ok with the building site thing ..those guys are commenting on a 'faceless' female that walks by and just on her physical appearance and giving it a 'rating'..?..whereas when Marlon made those comments about Kimberley, he had spent time with her, talked to her, got to know her a bit etc..and I think he even has said something about her intriguing him or something..?..yet he still spoke about her so openly and disrespectfully...

I'm not saying Marlon is awful but his comments have offended Kim and would offend allot of other women had he done it to them. Dannielle's believes can only really have an impact on herself.

exactly this, if she truly believes it's a biological thing I don't see why it's such a problem, and I don't see how it's 'scary' or how it makes danielle a mess. danielle doesn't seem like someone who'd inflict their views on other people and she's been very lovely and likeable.

it doesn't really matter how she delivers her views, because ultimately she's suggesting that it's because women aren't good enough that men are allowed to do it. i can see how that's a foggy area because she could of course be speaking from an observer's view but to me she seemed more... at peace with this being a social norm, rather than critical

i mean add it on to the views on divorce/gay marriage and you have a pretty weird cookie

and to throw in a spanner, i don't think anything she's saying is genuine and she's part of this whole Dexter Koh... i'll sell anything to the papers, just tell me what to say... generation. so I don't know what I think about her

..I agree, I don't think she's being genuine about her views and is just throwing stuff out there to be controversial because she knows it'll probably get shown in the HL show...I think she's probably one of the most media savvy people in there..I'm not sure though whether for me that isn't worse in a way because no matter how much I may disagree with her views on things, if they were genuine I would respect them and why she has them but this just kind of 'mocks' the fact that some people actually do think how she's 'pretending' to think...and that for me is a huge disrespect for females and much worse than Marlon, who at least (I think..)..has genuine views on females, even though I think they're the most immature and disrespectful views....

Cheating is a result of lust and jealousy. To make it a non issue you either remove the lust or remove the jealousy. In my opinion a couple that is full of lust and have an open relationship is much more healthy than a couple that is full of jealousy, especially if one or both also try to hide and suppress their lust.
