Richard Desmond, the owner of C5, The Daily Star, Ok magazine and Express Newspaper set up a 'Talent agency', an agency that will promote and do PR for celebrities and rising stars (called Northern and Shell). This agency provides most of the housemates for Big Brother, Kim, Steven, Jale, Mark, Ash, Helen and Winston are all signed to this agency. All contestants for BB must have their Equity Card and signed to an agent.

Mark has an agent because he has done other tv shows ( Shipwrecked), Helen & Kim have done 'Adult' tv work (also linked to Desmond), Steven signed to Desmond when he came out so he could do the OK shoot with Kim.

Have you not noticed that only some of the evicted housemates get on BOTS regularly, but not others (Pauline, Toya and Marlon), its because they are signed to an agent that is not under Desmonds control,

ALL of Desmonds ex housemates are now telling the same story, Helen to win or Ash, Ashleigh is a brat, Chris a creep and Christopher unstable.

Notice how Marks 'story' of Dumping Christopher is only in all of Desmonds papers ...

C5 want one of their own to win.

Hardly surprising.We kinda knew they're all head hunted anyway.The days of average Joe off the street are long gone.

Nothing unusual there. There have been numerous question marks over how C5 deal with certain HMs and situations since they took over C5.

The audience is far more rabid. The narrator lines are weighted. The BBOTS panels can be extremely one sided.

There is not a hope in hell of Helen winning ( mores the pity) BUT if she did it would be because she's been the most entertaining hm8s for the entire series, but she won't win

Sorry Chuff imo it would be because the rest of the evicted HMs have ganged up on the ones they do not want to win, an agency full of sour grapes. The article answers a lot of questions imo, why did Jarley begin to stand up for Helen after she was so horrible to her, even after J left. Helen will not be a worthy winner in many peoples eyes she has only got to the final by the grace of Pauline. I sincerely hope that BB never does this again.

Let the others show themselves in the sense of fairness so that we may applaude the winner (anything can happen) and then say well done to them no matter who it is. Too much negativity has been spread into the ether for this to be called a good show.

There arent enough words to say for the little creep, I hope Christopher has the sense to send him up the river along with the rest of them. Hopefully the public are stronger than this agency and what is the point of reading OK magazine if they are all saying the same things. Grrrr this is one time when I hope that "what goes round, comes round" let it be done for the lot of them.....

There used to be a time when I would gladly pick up one of the magazines to read the stories but not now. They are all a load of rubbish and I do not have a fire to use them as firelighters, woe is me!

I really doubt this is true, not every housemate has an agency, maybe a few do, but I know a couple of ex housemates and none of them have agents, is there any proof they have agents? Jale has an agent? Really! I find it hard to believe that most HM have agents.

Would love to think you were right, I hate the thought that such a show is given to one agency's choices. Will have to consider spending my time and money on something more fruitful and spiritually profitable.

I am sure there are elements of truth in what you are saying

1. BB is not and does not need to be unbiased toward the contestants
2. BB can manipulate and contrive events for their own purposes as much as they want.
3. There is nothing "standard" or "natural" about any of the contestants, and its been that way for the majority of BB's history
4. C5 does not particularly care who wins or loses BB, they are interested in generated money from voter income, newspaper sales etc etc Although they could pick who they want as their favourite winner and put that person in a strong position, they are bound by the results of public votes, and that is regulated.

Take it all with a pinch of salt and either enjoy it for what it is, or don't watch
