There is nothing more ****ing boring than someone who dismisses a fringe party with a hand wave. Know your politics, know their policies, know why you hate them and articulate it to the person you are engaged with. It's got to be up there with the sort of turds who respond to serious homosexual or animal welfare related threads just to say "just kill all the homophobes lol".

To answer your question I do not support any of the mainstream Irish political parties but I would lean on the side of socialism [in my dads words I want to share what I don't have with everybody].

I was Conservative, I had big worries for the NHS and as to Student tuition fees in 2010, so voted Liberal Democrat in the 2010 election.

I now support and will be voting Labour in 2015,I like the more compassionate and fairer attitude in their policies.
I cannot see me returning to my Conservative roots again now.

This must be one of the really 'very few' things you and I don't agree on Kazanne.

I just hoped for so much from this coalition as you know from when I first joined here but I have consistently been disappointed with what they have done and what I have witnessed as to the effects of their policies on others.
I don't however blame the Conservatives,they are doing most of what they would have done had they got an overall majority.
The Lib Dems now, well that's another story,they can now disappear for good for me.

They haven't got everything right Joey,I believe there is lots to do,but it seems it is going in the right direction,ie the economy etc,slowly but surely I think it will get there.i agree with some of the things people are pissed about like bedroom tax etc,but I think like the council tax that will even out eventually,no one likes things taken from them,but sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind,my main reason for my change was the absolute mess Labour left us in,and I think they will do it again,they will get back in,pander to everyones needs and hey presto we are back to square one.I am no expert,but, I trust the Conservatives more if not fully

Same. I was also brought up not to discuss money or religion either, although I must admit I often slip up on politics and religion, depending on how much I've had to drink

Scotland is very left which is what I like about it and it's a good thing if Scotland gets independence for that very reason because it'll become a great country however I'm voting no for the very fact that I plan on living in England when I have an established career (selfish reason but you need to be selfish in elections otherwise what's the point?)
