What makes the X Factor?
Each of us have different things we like to see in singers but what qualities should the x factor winner have? Look at Shayne Ward...he had alot more to him that just a good voice. Sharon, Louis and Simon have always said the x factor is that something extra special and someone that has it all.

Kate Thornton:-"The X Factor is about new talent and individuality"

Mark Hudson:- “Leona’s voice is incredible and her stage presence and all that - but Leona is missing that other mystery ingredient, it has nothing to do with her singing voice - it has to do with star quality. She just doesn’t have that ‘It’.

Nicky Byrne (westlife) :-"Leona has a great voice but, all in all, X Factor doesn't have the talent like last year when, from day one, Shayne Ward stood out as the star.
"He was good looking. He was a great singer and a good dancer. He had everything. In terms of the X Factor, he had that. I don't think this year has anyone like that."

If the X Factor was based on voice alone then Leona would win, if it was personality or stage presence I think Ray would win and if it was about finding someone new then Ben would win.

What 1 tip would you give to the 3 remaining contestants?

An X Factor contestant has to have an amazing voice, as well as a likeable personality.

The tip I'd give to all 3 of them would be to stay true to themselves, and not change anything about themselves for anyone, because they are in the top 3 purely because they have fans who like them for them.

In all honestly I don't see the big fuss about Shayne myself. Yes he's talented, did well, but he isn't really huge now is he? And even during the show itself he didn't make me go 'Wow' whenever I heard him perform to the extent that I do for the contestants this year.

I pretty much agree with Kates comments and think the x factor is about finding new talent and someone who is different and individual.

What 1 tip would you give to the 3 remaining contestants?
Leona:- Find your own sound and style and stick to it...doing all the screechy Mariah/Whitney sounds doesn't make her individual it just makes her sound like someone who is already in the industry.
Ray:- Keep sticking to the music he likes as that is what he does brilliantly and keep putting in 110%
Ben:- Don't cut his hair off for anybody and keep working hard.

I loved Shayne-he definatly had the X Factor.In heat Simon and Louis said his next single is really good.

My advice would be to not get an ego because you are popular and to be yourself
