No I don't think they did, afterall I've heard they might have to pay out £250,000 due to the bullying. Plus there's always the possiblity that the show might be shutdown, I don't think they'd have planned that.

I think they thought mixing class (Shilpa) and no class (Goody's) will make good TV. They probably thought Shilpa will remain in bed and wait for everything to be done for her and this will lead to the Goodys' blasting her, thus winning over a large portion of the audience. But it seems the only thing they have won over is alot hate and disrespect

Endemol have a team of psychologists planning and preparing for their shows months and months if not years in advance.

Virtually all the arguments you see on Big Brother could have been predicted by a psychologist/psychoanalyst/sociologist, and the people who are chosen will be carefully compared to each other to make sure there is sufficient tension and drama.

This series is completely planned. Probably even to the extent of knowing who would walk out early. (Though maybe not with Ken)

Maybe they should have done a bit more market research, then maybe they would have found out that the GBP don't want to watch someone being harangued and harrassed non-stop for pure bitchy and cruel reasons.

No, £ndemols "stars", Davina, Dermot and Brand all share the same agent as Jade herself,
and all treat Jade and co with grovelling servility instead of doing what they are supposed to do, introduce, host and discuss the BB events and HMs with impartiality.

Instead £ndemol with the snivelling compliance of Dermot and Davina especially have created and then excused a shocking display of bullying passed off as entertainment, and in Davina and Dermots case, laughed along with it - and even tried to pillory the victim of the bullying by contradicting the shows own psychologist who stated Shilpa wasn't manipulative. the obvious follow up question to that, "Well who is the most manipulative" was not asked. Suprise suprise.

£ndemol got what they wanted, publicity.

But the genie got out of the bottle, Jade and Co are thick, ignorant lowlives who just don't know when to stop.

Congratulations £ndemol, you got what you wanted.

How long before Dermot and Davina claim they were only following orders and try to weasel some distance for themselves away from the responsibility of helping this sham continue ?

As for Jade and Co, I hope the anonymity and obscurity they deserve is rapid, and maybe in the future TV companies won't fete non-entities because the slept with someone or latched onto a name footballer
