Default Big Brother 8 - The Battle

Alright folks, I'm a newbie here but there is my idea for what they should do with BB8. I'd like your input and maybe you could help to expand on a few of my ideas?

BIG BROTHER 8 - THE BATTLE (could also be called "The Duel", "Survival of the Fittest", or "Only the Strong Survive")

This series of Big Brother would bring back the divide that we saw in BB3, but this time around, it would be much more competitive. I'm gonna try to explain it without being too complicated.. we'll see how well that works out..

In the first show on launch night, eight housemates would enter the house. The stairs would lead to only a lounge area and they would not be able to access other parts of the house. In the second show, they would be told to form into two permanent teams. In that second show they would compete in the new "task arena" to win access to live in the rich house. The others would obviously live in the poor house. Unlike BB3, the only areas where HMs from opposite houses can interact is in the garden and in the communal lounge, where the prison bars are once again set up. The rich/poor houses are completely separate.

Rather than have weekly tasks, the houses would compete in "matches" throughout the week for luxuries and parties. There would be a match for the shopping budget, with the winning house getting a luxury budget and the other house having to live on staples.

There would be no eviction in the first week. Instead, at the end of the first week, two new housemates would enter the house via the task arena. They would immediately compete in a match to determine who would live in the rich or poor house.

The first eviction would be in the second week. Eviction nights for the first few weeks would have two hour-long episodes: the first would have highlights and the eviction announcement, the second would have the evictee interview followed by two more housemates entering the house and competing in a live match.

This would continue until after the third eviction, the final two housemates would enter and 13 people would be in the house. No more new housemates would be introduced during the show unless someone walks or is kicked out.

Matches would continue each week and would become more difficult and strenuous as time goes on. Toward the end of the series, the housemates would compete as a group to live in either the rich or poor house. Also, there could be matches to keep the prize money.

The series would be thirteen weeks again. There would be a double eviction at some point so that only four housemates would be there in the final week (the way it should be, IMO).

I'll add more later. Feel free to add your ideas or ask any questions, I may have made this a bit too confusing.

I tried to make one but I wasn't any good at it.. but this is how I picture the house:

1. The stairs lead to a communal lounge area, separated by bars.
2. The diary room is under the stairs like in BB3.
3. The rich house is on the right, and it has a living room, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, larger bathroom, and gym.
4. The poor house is smaller like the House Next Door - it has a living room, kitchenette, WC, and a tiny bedroom... all with cheapy, uncomfortable furnishings.
5. The rich garden has a pool, jacuzzi, seating area, WC.
6. The poor garden has an outdoor shower, WC, grill for cooking, and an unkept lawn with bad grass.
7. The task arena is accessed via the garden.

If someone wants to make a floorplan using that description (and maybe adding some), that'd be great.

I'll try, but it could work without bars. Just simply ban Rich HMs form the Poor House, and vice-versa, and punish them if they try and violate this.

oh and store rooms in both house of course.. forgot those!

Some more things.. maybe the rich house could have a sauna off of the bathroom just for a little added luxury.

And, an idea from BB Australia, perhaps there could be a little animal enclosure by the poor house garden that the people in that house would have to take care of.

I'll see if I can, but I have an idea.

Well first of all, I think Fourteen Housemates should enter on the First Night.

There SHOULD be an eviction during the first week, and would fit in nicely with the annual first night twist. The Housemates who win the task in the Task Area will win access to the Rich House, but it would be a Phyrric victory, as the seven Rich Housemates will all face the public vote.

It's a little too similar to what they just did with Jade's family in CBB, but it could work.

Here is my floor plan for your idea, hope ya like it!

The only problem is I don't know how the new housemates would get into the task arena. Apart from that looks pretty good!

I can't open it either. When you say "compete in a match", what do you mean? Like a bare knuckle fight or something?

I don't know why I called it that.. I guess you could call it a task but I think of it as being a more competitive, head-to-head type of thing.. so your bare knuckle idea could most certainly work!

Great. I love watching a good scrap. Girls are much better at it though, as they really mean it. Trying to pull each others hair out etc.

when you have the floorplan up on the screen, press the "print scr" button (it's in the top row of my keyboard, yours should be the same) then paste the picture in Paint or some program like that.. save it.. then attatch it on here, it should work.
