Laura and Evelyn are definitely playing a game...hugging Jason at the drop of a hat but the two of them put Jason on the firing line all the time.

They're awful. It's sickening how Jackson controls the house vote. He engineered Chelsea's eviction/Jayne not receiving immunity whether intentional or not.

That's because the bigger clique has weaker players that will shift whichever the wind blows, whereas his trio has the advantage of having people that in one way or another can intitmidate the rest. And they do it without raising any red flags.
