Kim Kardashian has been held up at gunpoint in a Paris hotel room by two armed and masked men dressed as police officers.
The reality TV star was said to have been left "badly shaken" after the incident, which came as she attended the French capital's fashion week.
Her husband, rapper Kanye West, cut short a concert in the US after the incident, telling fans he had "a family emergency".
A spokeswoman said: "Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening by two armed masked men dressed as police officers.
"She is badly shaken but physically unharmed."
Kardashian, 35, had been photographed on Sunday evening at a Givenchy fashion show with her sister Kourtney and mother Kris Jenner, and was later reportedly seen out for dinner at a local restaurant.
West, 39, stunned fans at Meadows Festival in Queens, New York, when he abruptly ended his set during his 2008 hit Heartless.
In footage shot by fans, he is heard saying: "I'm sorry, I have a family emergency. I have to stop the show," before walking off the stage.

The couple's children North, three, and Saint, nine months, were not in the hotel room at the time of the incident, People magazine reported

I feel like a terrible person. I woke up to her name trending and thought is she dead? Then I read the headline and rolled my eyes because I thought ugh publicity. Anything to be talked about when nobody is talking about her. But even if it's true I genuinely don't care

I have to agree Cee Cee - I really don't care either. I just do not 'get' this obsessive fascination with someone who has no talent and no reason to be famous, other than that she has a famous father - thanks to O.J. Simpson - and is a walking, talking, real life 'Jessica Rabbit' type of female whose ridiculously exaggerated body is the result of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of surgical enhancement.

Sorry to all you Kardashian fans, but that is how I feel.

I heard this on the news this morning, except it was claimed there were 5 men dressed as police officers :S

Pretty scary either way. Her security team needs to step it up a notch. On the version of this I saw, it was claimed her guard was found tied up too. Which kind of renders the security guard useless, if he ends up in the same state

The version I hear too...said 10m+ worth of jewelry was stolen. I assumed she must have a home in paris, not be in a hotel. Why on earth would you have 10m worth of jewelry in a hotel room :S

...(I read) that it was a rented apartment which is rented out specifically to celebrities and very wealthy people.../so a privately owned apartment but not her own.../...so, so scary for her anyway....

I'll qualify what I meant.

I care about the fact that she has undergone the trauma of being the victim of an armed robbery, just as I would care about any other victim - 'famous' or non-famous - but no more than that, because, to me, she is NOT a celebrity, and even if she was, she is not a celebrity who I 'care' about in the normal sense of the word.

And for some reason, as soon as I saw this news 'break' - like Cee Cee - I was not convinced that this robbery was genuine. I do not know exactly why, but that was, and remains, my suspicion.

I remember a very similar 'tie up' and robbery 'suffered' by the late Cilla Black a few years ago, when Ł1 million pounds worth of jewelry and other valuables were 'taken', yet after the initial 'investigation', the police did not launch any extensive 'manhunt' and the insurance company did not pay out on her claim.

I'm not claiming that anything 'untoward' happened in either case, but I cannot help my own intuitions and suspicions.
