Good luck to the customers tbh. tesco are absolutely crap at taking responsibility for fraud. Customers will probably end up footing the losses

Or maybe, just maybe, some modern day bank robbers.

It's kinda scary that almost anything can be hacked, but at the same time, I guess it keeps us from getting too dependent on technology.

I did. Until a gigantic transfer went out to ****ing Africa, from an african IP address, so they knew it wasn't me. Yet they told me I must have made the transfer despite never going to Africa..not even having a passport at the time. They refused to reverse the transfer (which they CAN do if noticed on the same day..CAB told me this) then said they would investigate. Came back to me over a month later telling me they were holding me responsible despite them being able to see the password had been attempted over 200 times in the space of a week from this other IP address. Reported to actionfraud who did **** all too.

Holy **** I'm with Natwest and was unfortunate enough to have my card cloned (I think), they spent around £1300, Natwest caught this themselves and actually charged back all the purchases within minutes, and sent me a new card, I was really impressed with how quickly they sorted it all.

Yes I had that happen a year or so ago when I was with RBS (I think they are the same as natwest..). They noticed payments were going out (card purchases) from a place that didn't seem like me. They actually rang me to ask if I had made the last few payments, I said no and they sent me a new card and refunded everything by the end of that day.

In hindsight I should probably have taken Tesco to the ombudsman or something but I was just ****ing gutted with it all, wasn't in a good place to start with and just wanted it all to end instead of dragging out for ages. Was a good 2k that I lost too so was worth fighting for..but the fact that they could see, and admitted it was not me, yet they held me responsible somehow..was terrible. Especially when they could have stopped the transfer when I asked and it would have all been done with there and then.
