JADE Goody was branded a liar yesterday for claiming she HAD been quizzed by police probing her Big Brother outburst.

The Mirror told on Saturday how Jade, 25, blocked the investigation by refusing requests to be interviewed over 'racist' jibes at Shilpa Shetty.

But yesterday she insisted detectives had formally questioned her at her Essex home last month - and filmed it.

A highly placed Hertfordshire Police source said: "Jade's claim she was interviewed is an outright lie. Detectives made it clear they wanted to speak to her and mum Jackiey - but they said legal advisers warned against it.

"Without their statements, the investigation lost momentum. In the end, we had to drop the inquiry." Jade - who is desperate to win back public support - stuck to her story yesterday. Leaning out of an upstairs window of her £500,000 pad in Chipping Ongar, she said: "I did speak to police. They came around, set up cameras and everything. I answered their questions. My mum co-operated too. I don't know where this has come from."

Detectives were particularly puzzled by Jade's claim she was filmed.

The source added: "It seems like an effort to save face after bad publicity."

Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara, involved in baiting Shilpa, agreed to be quizzed. Detectives also spoke to Shilpa and Jermaine Jackson.

Police finally dropped the investigation on Friday after Channel 4 refused to release unseen footage allegedly showing Jade racially abusing Shilpa.

Jade hinted yesterday that she had signed a deal to return to India to try to patch things up with Shilpa.

Altogether, they have to come up with the right decision to protect themselves.

It is every "man", "woman" and "child" out there in this big wide world, who has to protect themselves, as most don't care anyway.

It is very simple really.

Jade Goody has decided in her infinite wisdom to come to a decision.

We look at these stories in the media and we are well aware that they can make a story out of nothing.

Whatever happened between Jade and the police has to be legal and if she has chosen to refrain from giving evidence, etc..

That is up to her and probably on advise from her team. Who she pays to protect her interests.

Like many assume, she isn't too brainy and she is trusting those who can and do protect her interests.

It is not about what is wrong and right anymore.

It was obviously wrong to dwell on this argument between Shilpa Shetty and the three girls. Big Brother chose to do this and have profited well from it.

It was a wrong decision ethically.

But ethics were not on their minds and Jade & Jo & even Danielle must do the right thing at the right time.

They did and the Crown Prosecution Service have made the right judgement call, and now the girl's can try and get back to normal.

Jade is back with her family, probably planning her next move.

I actually agree. If she was not interviewed by the police, good on her. The law states that the police have no right to interrogate you if they don't intend to arrest you. My problem is, if she wasn't interviewed by the police, why is she saying she was.

I actually agree. If she was not interviewed by the police, good on her. The law states that the police have no right to interrogate you if they don't intend to arrest you. My problem is, if she wasn't interviewed by the police, why is she saying she was.

Regarding the point, whereby you say about Jade Goody saying that she was interviewed.

What Newspapers report is sadly very evasive.

It is hard to come to a definate answer on their report.

Jade Goody would have spoken to advisors and they tend to do the work for her, on her behalf. With her say-so and agreement of course.

Maybe it was not necessary for Jade to speak to them. Perhaps she had to sign something official, which helped with the investigation and let Jade get on with her busy schedule.

Remember, she had interviews to do and the India trip to deal with. Also, she is a mother and also, she has to think of safety too.

Jade Goody is actually quite truthful as it happens!

Nobody is completely honest, but she does have many redeeming qualities and has been liked because of her cute & quirky ways plus many other things too.

Jade's bank balance is doing fine. Many millions plus some nice interest too. No worries there.

Her career has taken a blow and hopefully now, the CPS has finished their investigation and no racism was ever present, maybe there is a twinkle of hope in the horizon for the lovely Jade Goody who many have come to love and adore.

Jade is not so fat anymore. She has done loads of fitness training and also, liposuction, all of which has brought down her weight and size dramatically.

She did sing on "Stars in their eyes" and she did well and that was a lovely moment for Jade. "Happier times".

I don't think she would have a third portion of chips and gravy. She will be aware, that to keep her new figure, she shall have to watch those calories

She is poorly educated that is clear.

It's funny she claims to be dyslexic, and I'm sure she is, but she doesn't have seemed to discovered the coping strategies most dyslexics work out at her age. And her long term memory seems poor. Most dyslexics make up for their poor short term memory by building up their long term memory.

Dyslexia doesn't stop you learning it just stops you retaining information in the short term.

You can be told something and you can't recall it for several weeks. It's not that you can't learn it's just different sort of learning.
