I’M A Celeb oddball DAVID GEST is dating fellow contestant MALANDRA BURROWS.

The unlikely couple have been on a string of dinner dates in London after meeting in the Australian jungle last year.

Gest, 53, who is divorced from LIZA MINELLI, made his move after ex-Emmerdale star Malandra split from her boyfriend last month.

And the pretty blonde, 41, who played Kathy Bates in the rural soap, has fallen for his wacky charms.

A source said: “It is early days but they are getting on really well.

“David told a few friends he was keen on Malandra after letting it slip he was taking her out on dates.

“They have been out for some romantic dinners and are really enjoying each other’s company.”

Malandra, who once dated love-rat DARREN DAY, was the sixth to be evicted from I’m A Celeb last year.

Her agent Keith Bishop said yesterday: “Malandra got on with all the jungle contestants. She is as friendly with David as with everyone else.”

Madcap music producer Gest was favourite to be King Of The Jungle but finished fourth.

He will soon be back on British TV screens in two shows — as a judge for SIMON COWELL’s talent contest Grease Is The Word, and in his own fly-on-the-wall documentary.

Gest has a book due out next month lifting the lid on his 18-month marriage.
