WHY?... why can't we just sit back and ignore the war mongers? We have terrorist attacks because we held the Americas hand when it invaded Iraq and Syria and now Trump is busy making threats at North Korea and North Korea are making threats towards the West. Trump knows NK hasn't got the capabilities to send a long range nuclear missile to America but it has got the capabilities to send nuclear missiles to the UK.

More than ever, right now we need to stay the fcuk out

I'm not sure where you read that DR, but it's exactly the same distance (pretty much to the mile) from NK to the south east coast of the UK as it is from NK to the west coast of California. They would want to hit a population center, so would be San Francisco in the US or London in the UK... both are roughly 5250 miles from NK.

Also, to send a nuke to the UK "as the crow flies" from NK would have it flying over thousands of miles of Chinese airspace and a good chunk of Russia, the whole of Ukraine, Poland, Germany and either Belgium or The Netherlands.

To hit San Fran they only have to go through airspace belonging to South Korea and Japan, both of whom they already have toxic relationships with so it wouldn't matter, then it's 4000 miles of open Pacific.

I can't see how the UK is in any way a more feasible target... without them launching from China. Which would be a whole other can of radioactive worms.

The only reason we should stay out is to protect our own military personnel - not to stop reprisals from Middle Eastern terrorists.

I really take issue with you constantly suggesting that terrorist attacks on the West are justified - that we bring it on ourselves. Those terrorists terrorise their own and resent us interfering and stopping them doing so, so they try it on us instead. They are nothing but thugs and tyrants and the last thing we should do is bow down to their tyranny and just leave them free to inflict terror on those that can't fight back.

As I said in a previous post it is a dilemma, how can we leave people at the mercy of such cretins, but on the other hand why should we put our own at risk. If we could come up with some magical solution that would wipe all those scumbags off the face of this earth - the world would be a much better place.

And this is the news out of Syria. http://www.syrianow.sy/index.php?d=35&id=165772

A UN independent commission is examining reports that the US-led coalition has bombed a site in Deir al-Zour that the Syrian authorities say was a chemical storehouse, UN Human Rights Council spokesman Rolando Gomez said on Thursday.

The Syrian army announced earlier in the day that the coalition forces launched an air strike on the headquarters of the "Da'ash" terrorist in the area of Hatala Deir al-Zour on Wednesday, causing the deaths of hundreds of poisonous inhalation, a week after the town of Khan Sheikun chemical attack Killing 87 people.

The General Command of the Syrian army said in a statement that "the flight of the so-called International Alliance yesterday between 17.30 and 17.50 hours on the implementation of an air strike, targeting the headquarters of the" Da'ash "terrorist, including a large number of foreign mercenaries, Deir al-Zour was formed by a white cloud turned yellow, turned out to be the result of the explosion of a huge warehouse containing a large amount of toxic substances.

Propaganda. Quick let's deflect so the gullible world thinks we aren't poisoning our own people. Any cost to win. Why would anyone feel the Syrian army is particularly truthful?

I'm just dropping in some news from other sources. Who are we to decide which news is propaganda and which isn't?

It sounds like you have made up your mind... I haven't.

I'm fairly certain I know who I believe and it's not the guy who has been bombing his own people for several years because he won't let go of power. The chemical stuff is horrible but those barrel bombs are pretty loathsome too. And let's face it, Russia always lies. It's never them who were involved in an innocent airliner being blown out of the sky, the annexation of an independent people, or the bombing of civilians. I've a little more faith in the west who often actually admit when they are wrong or make a mistake.

Hmmm maybe we should watch Corbyn far closer than we are.

I think the US are flexing their muscles to send a message to a few leaders of the world who have started to think they are running things and can do what they like without any culpability. I don't believe anyone wins a war but I think the US are currently speaking the only language the likes of Putin, Assad, and North Korea understand. That's a tragedy all round but so is good men doing nothing and bystanding while people suffer. Let's hope against hope that a little flexing of US might will reign them in. The alternative is unthinkable.

I completely agree Jaxie. America would have been equally criticised, by those with an agenda, if they had done nothing - damn them if they do, damn them if they don't. Good men have to do something. Of course there will be those who spout on about ulterior motives but to do nothing would be much worse.

And you believe the American government doesn't lie? that Trump doesn't lie?

America lied to us when it said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. It didn’t invade Iraq and dispose of Hussein because it was misled, it invaded because of ‘American ideology’ and it was prepared to sacrifice thousands of NATO soldiers as well as kill over a 100,000 Iraqis before turning Iraq into a chaotic dust bowl.
The same happened with Iran in 1953, in Afghanistan in 2001, in Asia, Cuba, Puerto Rico the Philippines Africa, Libya and Vietnam. These CIA military attempts to overthrow governments are endless.

Trumps lies are endless, the U.S government lies are endless and ‘Western Civilization’ fully support those lies and every lie the US uses is duplicated throughout Europe, Australia and Canada. Then here we all are shouting, kill the fnckers, nuke the bvstards.

Yes, yes, lets all believe the propaganda hype against him too! though what he's got to do with this topic is somewhat baffling.

We are the invaders, not Russia.

America and its allies have been flexing its muscles over Muslim rule for far too long and all it causes is, political instability and terrorist blowback. I condemn imperialism and that’s exactly what this is.

How can America claim its safeguarding liberty when it approves illegal torture, commits war crimes and created mass genocide in Libya, Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen and Syria. This is about empire building… ‘divide and rule’ and forgive me, but I'm no cheer leader.

I'm predicting that the US is planning a strike on NK.I think it's going to happen soon.Kim Jong is going to test another nuke soon.If he does that on Trumps watch I believe the US will start launching Tomahawks. They are positioned for it.I firmly believe this will happen.

I think this too. Was this a test shot before heading into NK with the big mama?

Its just one big bomb instead of hundreds of smaller ones.

The plan to use this bomb has been around long before trump.
The world is at war right now.

it has been round for ages but there are consequences with dropping it - never the less - I back trump as sanctions are clearly not working.
