Default The Curse Of Big Brother

Don't know if anyones already posted about this somewhere, but there's a programme on Channel 5 9.00 Thursday (today) called the curse of BB it says it's tracking all the housemates from all 3 bb's, seeing how they've got on since leaving bb, going by the advert it looks good.

Looks like Helen will be on this proramme, so I'll be watching

It mostly looks like them having a moan about being on BB and the way they were treated by the media when they got out, in some ways they only have themself's to blame, they saw how the first lot were treated, so why did they think it would be any different for them.

That's the one thing I don't like about BB, the way the media pull them to pieces, nasty.

Yep your right about the moaning from what I saw of the Ad, that Nichola and Caroline are on it, and Sandy gives his first interview since leaving big brother, I can't wait, I say's sarcastic . Bubble looks different as well, longer hair, and it will be interesting to see what he has to say.

It does say about the highs and lows of BB,so some bits should be good,I can't see Helen being negative about it

Helen AND Dean. My cup runneth over!!

I'll be taping over the truly awful "Trouble With Big Brother" that I, unfortunately, taped last week.

Oh, and I can't wait for tomorrow either, Di.

It's getting better actually.

Only when that narrator shuts up though and the former housemates get the chance to speak.

LOL - yeah, I'm really enjoying it

Great to see Helen again, she's still mad about Mr C

Good to see some of Sandy too - he has been moderatly quiet since leaving the house.

Well what rotten timing. A friend who I haven't heard from for about 10 years picked exactly the moment that this started to phone me up.

Yes, it was lovely to talk to Richard again, but I MISSED THE PROGRAM

"The Curse of Big Brother" was, thankfully, very tongue in cheek.

I mostly enjoyed it and, like you Mark, was delighted to see Helen just being Helen!!

I loved the last bit where Helen asked if they could make her look intelligent
Typical Helen, just as natural as ever
Not sure about how the other housemates described Helen and Pauls relationship though

I MISSED THE PROGRAM
I feel for you, LEE - so did I.

Beloved OH is away this week, and I promised faithfully I'd tape Buffy and Angel on Sky 1 for him tonight. 'Never mind', I thought - I can watch The Curse of Big Brother downstairs.

WRONG! I mistakenly thought it was on C4 . . . . but, of course, it was on C5 which we can only get here through the Sky Digibox!!!!! Aarrgghhh!

I only caught a couple of snippets during the ad breaks - a tiny bit of Adele and Tim, and half of second of Helen right at the end. Boy, oh boy, does OH owe me big time!

How Helen at the end (which I nearly missed) when she asked if they could edit it so she looked sooper dooper intelligent. That girl is one in a million

Loved seeing how her face lit up when she spoke about Mr Clarke. Shame he didnt make an appearance though in person. Still cant have everything.

Just a question - how did appear on BB was it Jade or her mum. She seems to be on every programme.

I thought it was good even Sandy was funny doing a runner with his bike. As the Lady said near the end it's a risk you take, some people have done well out of it, I mean Brian, Craig, Kate and the lovely Helen arent complaining. I'm really pleased for Helen she got what she wanted at the end from it. Her Mr Clarke. Arrr... and well done Kaz as well for taping Buffy and missing the programme, now that is love.

I guess this programme was okay.

I thought it was a bit...I don't know what the word is but maybe a bit corny? I would have preferred it if B4 had prodcued it but then they wouldnt portay Big Brother to be as negative as it was.

I liked what Bubble said, something along the lines of, 'Big Brother is reality tv, all the other shows feed off it' and hes right - it was the inspiration for all the others to be produced!

Sandy annoyed me - he is such a hypocrite, he critiscised all those who go on Big Brother and label them attention seekers, yet he applied and admitted himself that the reason he escaped was because he wanted to be noticed. Sandy thought he was go above all of the contestants - look at the way he spoke about Jonny, I have no time for people like that.

I agreed with what Dean said, he commented on how the whole time you cant wait to go out and get back to your life when really, your not as another completely different life is waiting for you out there. It will never be the same.

It was a good programme - Helen, bless her, love her!! Wanted to see Paul though.

It got me excited for Big Brother tomorrow though - all part of the build up!!:e lephant:

I completed doing screenshots of this programme at 2:00 am. It looks like I'm in for more late nights during BB4!

The screenshots are here:

http://www.thisisbigbrother.com/gall...s.php?album=11

Actually I did think this was a pretty good programme in the end. I was a bit hasty judging it during the first ad break!

A few memorable things:

Obviously Helen, 'The good things to come out of Big Brother: No1. Paul Clarke, No2. living with Paul Clarke, No3. seeing Paul Clarke every day'.

And at the end she said, 'Can you edit it to make me look super-douper intelligent'

It was good to see Dean promoting the Tea Bag Bin. Stuart and him are certainly getting some good free publicity out of these documentaries.

There was also a shot of Stuart in his golf buggy!

I liked Sandy in this programme. Maybe it's cause I agreed with a lot of the things he said about the BB3 lot.

It's interesting I think that the HMs contributions are more memorable than the so-called experts. The stars of BB really are ordinary people.

Overall this was a better programme than the Sky programme because the HMs chosen to be interviewed are more engaging.

Also liked the montage of housemates at the end btw to the sound Toccata and Fugue!

I agree that it was better than last week's as the housemates talked more objectively.

I only saw the second half though, so I missed the lovely BB2 people!!!! But I did catch Helen's amazing quote at the end - she hasn't changed a bit bless her!

I disagreed with the newspaper and analytical people at the end when they said that BB is going to have to become more sensational and shocking to retain viewers. All we want is some good interaction between housemates, some geniune romance, some laughter, maybe a couple of arguments, some great tasks and that'll keep us gripped!!

Well, I am not sure I liked this programme.

I thought Dean and Josh were unnecessarily scathing of Helen and Paul's relationship. They weren't faced with the dilemma, and even they admit it was a seriously unreal environment in which emotions were heightened and magnified.

I also thought they took pleasure in mocking Helen re: daytime TV and editing her to look as daft as a brush. She was just being her lovely bubbly self and yes, of course I loved her list of Paul Clarke, Paul Clarke and Paul Clarke as the best things of big brother!

I hate to think that people who didn't see BB2 would just think of her as annoying and simple. She was entertaining, bright as a button in all things unacademic, and the developing relationship was in fact enchanting.

They mocked the tea bag tin, and after Boyd Hilton's comments I doubt if anyone will dash out to buy it.

Bubble seems to have totally dropped his cheeky chappy hat fetishest facade. OK, he was wearing a baseball cap, but it's hardly groundbreaking.

Overall, I suppose it was OK, and at least we got to see Helen looking healthy, fit and happy in a dance studio....I wonder if that accounts for her slimmer look?

By the way, I don't remember seeing that particular face mask clip of Helen in Lorraine - could it be new??

Oh, and James........thanks for the piccies!!

Exemplary work my friend!!

I quite liked the program. Better than I thought it would be in spite of the "negative and in bad tast comments about the relationship" by some. Got used to hearing the same stuff and nonesense while they were in the house so I let it run off my back like the cold water it was. Just plain jelousy summs it up for me. Even Sandy amused me!! Now that has to something of a miracle
