Right so it’s fair to say there are two eras of BB on C5. There was the “tacky” Era from 2011 until early 2013 and then the more manipulated era from 2013 - present.

BB12/13 Era didn’t necessarily have anything wrong with production, it was just the casting and editing, let’s be honest. BB18 was basically the opposite of this, and was the lowest rated series ever, so imo C5 tried to get CBB20 back into the early era, here is evidence:

- The eye was a whole shape, there weren’t any bits sticking out
- In the titles, the eye appears at the start AND at the end
- Music after every ad-break
- No ****-stirring tasks, all natural (bar one or two, nothing compared to what we get nowadays)

I KNOW it’s little things but it counts, and after all the praise CBB20 got from fansites etc, I can see them doing a similar style series in January

CBB20 was garbage and everyone saw it as garbage?

CBB20 was the worst series since BB13, the only decent housemates were the ones in my signature but even then they either didn’t last or I liked them because they were nice people

CBB18, CBB11, and BB16 are far worse

CBB20 just seemed like it lasted forever. Jemma and Sarah were the only reason I kept watching tbh but even that became tiring. The eviction order was totally wrong though, losing Brandi and Paul over people like Derek and Helen was awful.

Also I think BB17/18 is a different era to 14/15/16 tbh.

Shorter series, A LOT more tasks to stir things up, backdoor evictions etc. I don't think the quality of the series has anything to do with the eye in the title sequence or whether things come out of the eye haha

Yeah I agree but imo it was less of a change then BB13 to BB14

The only "era" it's heading back to is its dead aesthetic from 2010.

Totally agree bb11 was when channel 4 turned it into a pantomime and added music and outside magic shows involving housemates.

It was horrendous!

Hmm imo BB12/13 were sorta “basics” series as most of the series was natural with the odd twist, I get what you mean though

1. CBB20 wasn't popular with most people, it was popular with people that liked Sarah Harding.

2. Ch5 should be heading for the Ch4 BB's quality.

Bb12 and bb13 were totally different. Channel 5 tried to recreate bb11 with fun montages and cheesy **** but bb13 went old school it was like a re run of bb6

CBB20 isn't a top tier C5 series, but it was kind of decent (not as bad as BB15, BB16, CBB18). However it does not end up in the top tier C5 series (BB13, BB14, BB17, BB18, CBB 15-17,19)
