This makes me feel so ancient; I was in my late teens when 9/11 hit, I remember getting home from school and no one was in so I was just sat watching the news alone like "Ehmagerd" when the first collapse happened...

That said, some people on here were grandparents before 9/11 so maybe not that ancient...

It’s not the first story I remember but I was a week away from turning 15. We were at my Grandma’s house and the initial news report about Madeleine McCann came on the TV and I remember being obsessed with the story and frequently aksing my mum if she had been found and even getting a bollocking from my Business Studies teacher for using the computer to use the internet checking for updates (although tbf there wasn’t much she didn’t give me in **** for, the cow)
