is anyone familiar with ASUS technology?


i have a ASUS laptop, the problem is asus live update, well this is the first time i get updates and it fails to install them properly


and everytime it annoys me, that it pops up to be searching for asus updates but then further doing nothing


it feels like spyware to me, but i feel worried something bad will happen to my pc if i remove it


i googled it, and many more people find it more buggy and spyware than a official live updating program, and someone else said you still get windows updates if you removed asus live update


so i need a little help, is it safe to remove asus live update?

i can't delete it, but luckily i can disable it, just right click on the icon asus live update below and click exit

i have now disabled live update, however i have to keep doing this every day


i'd wish there was a way to permanently disable asus live update

deleting something is a last resort for me, i Always go looking for other solutions first

It sounds like all you had to do was delete Asus update a bit like when McAfee won't go away so I just uninstalled it as it's a terrible program and AVG is better .

Sometimes updates can be annoying , and you've got to be careful of viruses sneaking in and unwanted things installing themselves .

It's always worth checking your control panel to make sure the programs on there are needed . You can even see the date they were installed .

i now have it on manual control so it can't annoy me by automatically updating, which doesn't work anyway

You can remove live update (I would since its pretty pointless) just to be safe though make sure to create a restore point before removing that or any other program.

If you need driver updates in the future you can do it directly from the asus website.

Create a restore point before doing anything and then uninstall Asus Updates.
