Not really. The angry response was entirely warranted, it would have switched to VTS had that won the poll and that would have been absurd at this late stage. It was a transparent last ditch effort to increase Lewis' chances of reaching the final that thankfully flopped.

If they really wanted to change it to VTS then they would have regardless of the result (which is what should've happened), 80% of this forum thought that's what was going to happen, that it was all going to be one big engineered rig and in the end nothing changed...just as I suspected! The meltdowns were ridiculous, it was patently obvious VTS wasn't going to win

I agree..the meltdown was pathetic. If they wanted to rig it they would have done.

I've always admired you on here and thought you were one of the most interesting posters but honestly you come across recently as thinking you are better than others and look down on anyone who is still passionate about the show.

How is it embarrassing to not be happy at a big change being threatened to a show you love with it being highly suspect that it was formulated to save certain people?

With all due respect Amy, I haven't changed...you're just on the other side of the fence this year so disagree with me I've posted the same consistent arguments year after year for the best part of a decade, people know what I'm about by now

I'm not really getting that criticism when I myself am still passionate about the show? Well...to a certain extent. What's embarrassing was the ridiculous meltdowns when it was patently obvious VTS was never going to win, and that they were not going to rig the vote (like they should've done) as 80% of people on here presumed they were going to

The bottom line of it all is, people are perfectly content for the show to be manipulated when it's to the benefit of their favourites...but not when it's the other way round. I can admit that, so it's time other people started doing the same rather than pretending they're consistent and all about fairness

And I’m still annoyed it all happened.

People dont want producer manipulation on any level, this time they tried to be sneaky instead of outright pissing us all off without warning (which i suppose could be seen as improvement... its still nowhere near good or professional enough for the last million fans though). People were angry when they thought VTS was gonna win, and people are happy that it didnt. They’re allowed to celebrate a win over ****ty production, just as you would have celebrated if ****ty production won over the common sense.

This Lewis thing is different to both, and people didn’t like that. Even two out of two Lewis fans on this thread have told you that they didn’t like it!

Maybe the difference is between a cloud of doubt and complete transparency, but people typically hate the rigging.

Also I think you need to understand that a very large chunk of the viewers really do not want to watch people that they hate. Even if they’re loud and argumentative or dominating the highlights. Most people dislike watching people they dislike - viewers don’t need saving from themselves, they know what they want and do not want to watch. It may be different to the things that’s you enjoy watching. You should have understood that by now! I feel like I’ve told you this every 6 months for the past 4 or 5 years!

This

Ridiculous reaction to it tbh. If they wanted to rig it, not that I see how making the housemates work for their votes is rigging whatsoever, then they would have just changed it without asking, or just lied about the results. It was a free vote, I'm sure there's nowhere near as many rules about it.

..yeah they would have just changed it Jack and it was never going to be rigged just as you suspected.....but the whole thing as well though, Jack...is the ‘meltdowns’ are all part of it, all part of BB and always have been...it’s a bit like a calm and rational parent saying...’no don’t fret, it’s nothing to get worked up about and angry and annoyed about - it’s all going to be cool and fine and dandy’....that might be completely correct..?...but there still has to be the stomping around and grumbling and moaning and worrying and outrage etc...do you not see that also..?..because it’s a very essential of a big brother forum....because if none of these things were felt or expressed or whatever by some...?....then the full experience of the show wouldn’t have been felt...we love, we hate, we scream etc...it’s all a rollercoaster that is totally necessary to display our passion for something we all love...

I'm sure those saying they never intended to change the vote would have had no problem with Hitler invading Poland as he was probably only going there for a holiday.
