Default Do you like browsing Charity Shops? Do you buy from them?

What do you think of charity shops?

Would you buy from them? What would you buy?

I buy books and clothing if its in really good condition which usually is the case.

Thoughts?

Books only, I used to volunteer in a charity shop and they check everything over with a fine tooth comb so I would say its very rare to find anything of real value any more

I could go into any charity shop and dump about 90% of their non clothing stock in a skip as it will never sell in a month of sundays. The staff have not got a clue what sells and what does not

Landfills are full enough.

And I'd honestly rather buy anything second hand other than clothing.

Not often, but sometimes if you need something cheap and last minute it’s a great shout.

I volunteered at a charity shop and quit the moment I was checking a board game and a spider came crawling out the box

Only books

However I went in to look at the books one day and noticed a Kipling bag, brand new with the tags still on, went over and had a good look thinking FAKE! but no it was actually genuine and the exact same as one I already have only in a different colour so I bought it for 6.99 (this specific bag costs £79) I was well chuffed with that

That is amazing Josy. Well spotted. Absolute bargain. Surprised one of the staff hadn't had it. Usually they get first dibs.
