[The body of a baby girl has been
found in a West Yorkshire pub toilet, police have confirmed. Emergency crews were called to the Three Horseshoes pub in Oulton, near Rothwell, at about 16:45 GMT on Sunday. Police described it as a "traumatic incident" and urged the newborn's mother to seek "urgent" medical help. 10 mins ago] https://news.sky.com/story/leeds-new...ilets-13059178 Tragic another baby, is not wanted. Not nice for the Pub. Last edited by arista; 29-01-2024 at 09:09 AM. |

I hate these sort of news items, why do these people leave babies somewhere that is likely to harm and kill them, why cant they leave them at least somewhere warm and where its going to be found quickly, is just so sad.

In this case I would imagine it was a stillbirth with the mother possibly not knowing she was pregnant. Of course it's awful that she then just left the baby's body in the bathroom, but you also have to consider that she was probably quite traumatised, especially if it wasn't a known pregnancy. The real worry is that she may well have lost blood/need medical attention.
