I think the police came to the conclusion he died as a result of a kinky game gone wrong. Apparently he would do this thing whereby he would almost pass out and die, but just stop that from happening in time.

That was the 'thrill'. But it went wrong.

Same with that actor David Caradine who died in similar circumstanes, except I think he hung himself up on a door and died.


But Gareth was also a cross dresser. Apparently police found £20,000 worth of women's clothes in his flat and a garage he had.

Funny (...?) story but when I was at University living in uni accommodation, I was innocently making my dinner in the kitchen when another guy from my halls burst into the kitchen really upset, incoherently wailing that he had almost died, then announced that he had been hanging himself from the back of his door for sexual jollies for weeks, and that this time he had almost passed out and only at the last second snapped back to reality, and nearly didn't manage to get himself down in time.

I also heard of someone that was found in a wardrobe, so I understand the principle, i just don't see how a suitcase could perform the same type of gratification, but yeah, it takes all sorts
