Actually people DO believe boys can be victims but only when the abuser is also male. Except for the odd idiot macho person who mocks the victim of course.

But I agree that when a woman is abusing boys or adult men even , it's seen as some joke or not taken as seriously. Like the guy should just feel " lucky" somehow ,or have the power to not be on that situation in the first place. It's gross really .

I don't know mock , considering it's probably less reported . Most female predators ( mainly the ones going after minors) usually prey on their neighbour's kid ,or they know them through friends, or something.

Predators in general abuse their position of trust ie teachers, mentors . Which makes it even worse.

The boy likely will feel embarrassed ,or he doesn't see it as abuse until he looks back on it and realises it's not normal. It doesn't help that it's laughed or shrugged off .


And I've noticed we keep seeing a few of these female predator teacher news stories now. And it sounds like this one is trying to make up excuses for her inappropriate behaviour.

They'd act like it and maybe even be jealous at the time because an 18 year old isn't capable of understanding what's actually going on - when they reach the age that their teacher was when they abused them, they start to realise what actually happened and are not so pleased about it.

My best mate was having regular sex with a woman in her 40's when we were 17/18. We all thought it was great/hilarious at the time. We all thought it was hilarious whenever we brought it up after that for well over a decade. We're nearing 40 ourselves now and - lo and behold - he's a bit conflicted about it now and realises that he was a kid who was being sexually exploited by a woman the same age as his mum. You grow up and realise it's actually not good at all.

And he was no an "inexperienced" kid he'd had sexual relationships with multiple girls our age, for a few years before that and did his share of, erm, fun nights out up until he met his now-wife when he was about 27. He's not a chap who is precious about sex or who regrets being promiscuous as a youngster. There's literally one relationship he feels gross about - and it's that one.

[edit to add] And that wasn't a teacher or anyone in a position of authority by the way, it was just a random woman, and he was over 16 so it was 100% legal. She had a son a year younger than us. It was a mess.
