I can't stand The Big Bang Theory, but have watched Young Sheldon in the past. The girl who plays Sheldon's sister is now 16, so "legal" in the UK. If Peirs Morgan had an affair with her most people would think it absolutely disgusting, and a complete abuse of power on his part. Same thing here with Schofield. You only defend him because he's gay. Says more about you than anything else really.

I agree that it's morally a bit of a weird situation, that I personally would never get myself involved in, even if I thought that the 16-17 year old was attractive, I just wouldn't do it due to the age gap (which I never envisioned myself as the older figure in this type of scenario before, it's kind of weird.)

However, as far as any of us are aware of, he didn't go and have sex with this guy at 12 years old (thank god) and at least waited until he was of legal age, because unfortunately there are Celebs who don't wait.

My point being, that we as a society need to pick our battles in Showbiz, and Philip Schofield isn't someone that concerns me personally.

Well he might argue that he didn't find him attractive when the guy was a child, we have no evidence to contradict that statement that I would guess that Phillip would make either.

…any type of public career is surely just speculation, he’s returned to social media again after an absence from that…the rest is just speculating over something that might never happen….he’s always been a very wholesome public image and he can’t be that anymore and I would say that he’s definitely a huge ‘risk factor’ for any TV channel to take on in any capacity other than a reality show like BB etc…

He wasn't a young lad in his 20's Liam he was in his 50's and married with kids. It has absolutely nothing to do with him being gay and in fact - I guess maybe I should check my biases here - but I'd actually be even more horrified if he had done this with a teenage girl. I think a lot of people would. So if your focus is on double standards... Your worry should really be the number of people who would be furious if there'd been photos of cosy lunches with a 15 year old girl but simply are not bothered that he did it to a young gay man.

There's nothing and no one else come forward.
The police have had no reason to have any connection to the issues that led to his downfall.

Therefore he has nothing to answer to and so if he can find a way back again, then I'd like to see it.
His only crime seems to be,( crime used loosely there ), is he had an affair with someone considerably younger, in a workplace.
However he didn't mention it and in particular to his co host Ms Willoughby.

It now doesn't even seem to me he should ever have lost his career.
The people most affected could have been his wife and children.
They have forgiven him and even stood by him.

So I wish him all the luck in the world .
