Tbh both the Ali fans and detractors don't always necessarily cover themselves in glory.

Some of Ali's detractors act like she is Satan reincarnated, which obviously is absurd because she is just a Human Being like the rest of us.

And then some of the Ali fans get really defensive due to the criticism that she receives, and they start defending her even when there might be a justified reason to pull Ali up over her conduct.

I think that there's paranoia from both sides over political stuff too.

I think that the detractors think that Ali is only winning because of the LGBT community, because I have heard some of that side say something to that extent over this past week.

And I suspect that the Ali fans in general are thinking that Ali is getting some people criticize her because they think that she's suffering from Misogyny and Homophobia.

That's my perception of both camps to do with Ali anyway.

I know they'll be a mixture of fans ,but people definitely get influenced to support a housemate...if they feel they themselves are being represented in some way.

Perfect example ... Olivia from last year's BB openly said she voted a few times for Nathan ,due to bias . she wants to help out her fellow Scotsman.

I'll be honest I hate reasons like that one.

I have learned to try and be more tolerant as to why people are drawn to certain contestants, but I do still (and always will) despise regional or national voting for a contestant on a Reality TV Show.

It's possibly worse than someone getting votes because people pity them because they're either being seen as a "victim" or because they're disabled.

Basically I personally like the reason to be something about the person themselves that draws that particular viewer in, even if it's something shallow as looks (because we all like to watch attractive people to varying degrees) but where someone comes from is just bizarre to me.

Fair enough to Olivia though, she is after all entitled to vote for whatever reason that she likes.

BB always needs a villian...this year it was Ali. There are some villians who are just down right mean and nasty...for instance Helen many years ago. There are also villians who are misjudged and fall into that category like Aaron. Ali falls between the two. She isn't that bad...but she has a mean and manipulative streak to her which I for one do not like and she loves playing the victim card.

Good for her for giving us lots to talk about...but I like to see real people win, someone witty, funny and entertaining and Ali had none of those characteristics. Which is why on my part she does not make a good winner.

Tbf discussion has been pretty even between Ali and Marcello on here.

And some out there accusations have been made about both of them throughout the series from their detractors as well.

And I'm not talking the usual Misogyny or political stuff either.

It is only this forum that for whatever reason has a good % of Ali haters

She has detractors obviously but this forum is out of step ..
