Woke storylines have seen ratings plummet. The actor is off after two series

The horror! An incredibly talented actor of color playing an alien who regenerates. The absolute scandal. How ever will they cope with such unprecedented inclusivity in a show about, you know, traveling through all of time and space and encountering endless forms of life? Maybe they should stick to shows where everyone looks exactly the same if change is so terrifying.

I'm shocked! But really, it was bound to happen in our lifetime. Don't see the problem. I go in and out of Dr Who but he didn't seem too bad. I remember the outrage when a girl played Dr Who lol. People will moan at anything these days

You have a point on the race change.

But tbf changing a character's sexuality is really bad writing under most circumstances, and the few reasons that a Show can come up with that is good writing, Doctor Who fails to meet the criteria.

- He isn't a teenager who's about to become an adult, where you could argue that he is still learning about himself.

- And it's not a Remake/Reboot series with an alternate timeline, where almost anything can change from the original version.

The bits in brackets are from the Sun. The sun who think that with two episodes to go, episodes that are complete, that a regeneration can be tacked on. It’s just rage bait for right wingers. Hence why LT posted a thread about it littered with with the word WOKE.

The likelihood is that Ncuti IS probably leaving. Next weeks episode is going to be simultaneously aired around the world to stop spoilers. An event pre planned months ago.

Also if he has left which given the fact that the finale will air simultaneously worldwide with the BBC is probably likely, it’s been planned for a long time. He has other commitments for other projects I think. Saying he’s been axed is hilarious. It was definitely a well planned exit. If true of course.
