Well that address was surprisingly very lack lustre.
More sleep inducing actually.

It gives me NO pleasure at all to say this but Nigel Farage and his Reform Party must be already thinking even stronger than they are already, that they have nothing to be concerned about as to Badenoch and how her Party is shaping up, ( I use that term shaping up loosely), under her very weak and poor leadership.

I can only see more Conservative usual supporters, now moving to Farage's Reform.

Both Labour and the Tories are scrabbling like mad to present Reform ideas as their own.

The Conservatives are finished. Next year they'll probably be able to hold their party conference in a very small room at the back of a very small pub.

Thumbs up

Huge news at the
@conservatives
conference

@claireCoutinho
announces she will scrap the Renewables Obligation in addition to the previously announced commitment to scrap the Climate Change Act

She will also scrap carbon taxes on electricity generation

Together these can cut 20% off bills and both can be done by ministers
@Ed_Miliband
could do the same today

But he prefers to keep electricity expensive, driving de-industrialisation and making households poorer

And the real crime is that all of this INCREASES global emissions as we offshore manufacturing to places with dirtier energy

Finally we're getting some realism into the energy policy landscape. We can't continue to lose thousands of jobs a week as factories close. We cannot continue to burden households

This is a good start, but we need action now, not in 4 years' time
