Indeed, meteors would beg to differ, as their motion and direction is not determined by an absurd (and scientifically inept) metaphor inflicted upon them by a human idiot and spread through the use (of said metaphor) by countless other idiots, probably the inbred idiot prime's close family.
The fact is that meteors do not rise - embarrassing metaphors used by dullards notwithstanding.
